Online Volunteer Registration & Tracking
Volunteers register themselves online. All volunteers' contact information, skills and interests, emergency contact information, and e-waivers remain stored in the database.
Administrators are notified when a new volunteer registers.
Email volunteers directly from relevant reports which can be filtered by group, team, activity, interests or skills.
Project Oriented - Easy Set Up
VolunteerUP is project, not event oriented. Create continuing projects once and use this "template" to easily set up future days for the same project.
Create your default volunteer instructions, shifts and # of volunteers for each location or project, and the system automatically updates all your workdays with the same information (no need to recreate each day or event). This allows for you to quickly schedule months in advance.
If you need to make a change, just edit your default and the system will automatically update the entire length of the project and schedule. In many other event-based systems, you would have to edit each workday individually.
COVID Messaging & Restrictions
COVID notifications and restrictions can be displayed in the Broadcast Message to alert your volunteers when they log in.
Restrict your shifts and signups to hand-picked volunteers and limit the # of signups allowed.
COVID notification and restrictions can be added to your electronic waivers.
COVID notification and restrictions can also be added to your project instructions which are automatically emailed to the volunteers in their signup confirmations and automated reminders.
Unlimited Volunteers, Projects, & Admin Users
VolunteerUP has NO LIMITATIONS or ADDITIONAL FEES. There is no limit to the number of administrators, volunteers and projects. All the features and functionality of VolunteerUP is included.
VolunteerUP uses https security and does not sell or use your data.
Your data is yours to keep. There is no limit to the amount of data kept for your site.
Expanded View Calendar
VolunteerUP displays your projects and shifts in an expanded view making it easy to see all volunteer opportunities at a glance. No need to drill down several clicks to find a particular project or workday.
The expanded view allows admins and managers to quickly see the status of signs ups for up to 30 days at a time.
Skill & Interest Tracking
VolunteerUP allows admins to customize interests and skills to track volunteers. This feature helps organizations be more proactive in recruiting volunteers and increasing participation.
Reports allow you to quickly filter the database for specific skill(s) or interest(s) and email those volunteers with a click of a button.
Volunteer Scheduling
Volunteers schedule themselves.
Admins create different shifts for different roles and can restrict the number of signups allowed.
Admins can restrict shifts to specific groups or teams.
Admins can see at a glance the status of signups for all projects for an entire month.
Group/Team Scheduling & Tracking
Schedule and track individuals from groups.
COVID TIP: Now there is a reason to ask individuals from groups to register because they need to sign an electronic waiver and COVID policies. By gathering their contact information and interests, you can communicate with those individuals and recruit them back.
KIOSK: Volunteer Check-In & Hour Tracking
VolunteerUP's Kiosk allows administrators to check volunteers in and out, or the volunteers can do it themselves.
The Kiosk automatically tracks volunteer hours and can be easily edited by administrators.
The search tool makes it easy to find volunteers who have not signed up ahead of time.
The Kiosk shows if the latest waiver was signed or not.
Electronic Signature Waivers
VolunteerUP has an electronic signature waiver which can be configured to require volunteers to e-sign before they can schedule themselves for a workday.
VolunteerUP retains the different waiver revisions for each volunteer.
Each volunteer’s waiver status is shown in the KIOSK at check in.
Automatic Text & Email Reminders
VolunteerUP sends out automatic emails and text reminders.
Email reminders can include a map link and volunteer instructions for each project.
Mass-Emailing & Broadcast Messaging
Mass-emailing of volunteers is available from most reports. Just filter for the volunteers you want by activity, interests, skills, and by group or teams and send an email to just those volunteers with the click of a button!
VolunteerUP displays a Broadcast Message to volunteers at registration and login. Updated messages show up again at volunteer login. This feature is great for keeping volunteers informed about events, COVID procedures & instructions, volunteers needs, celebrations, etc.
Reports & Data Exporting
VolunteerUP has pre-queried reports ready for you! Plus you can email contacts right from the reports.
Volunteer Hours: Filter hours by project, date range, groups & teams, or individual volunteers.
Volunteer Activity: View who's registered or who has signups or hours over a certain date range. Email personal welcome messages or thank you in bulk.
Volunteer Interests & Skills: Filter reports for to email volunteers with interests or experience in certain areas.
Group or Team Affiliations: Track who your 'regular volunteers' are as a team and email them with a click of button. Track which volunteers belong to certain groups. Or pull all the groups who have volunteered and email all the group leaders and invite them back.
# of Log Ins: See how your volunteer database is growing and how many people are logging in over time.
